US DOE Industrial Steam Energy Efficiency & BestPractices Virtual Training
Tuesday, October 5, 2021 - 9:00am to 12:30pm
47 slots available
Training Overview:

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Plants program offers several tools and resources for enhancing industrial energy efficiency and applying bestpractices in industry. MAEEP is sponsoring an industrial steam system energy efficiency and bestpractices virtual training in Fall 2021.
This virtual steam training will train the attendees to identify energy conservation opportunities, quantify savings from those opportunities, and implement projects to realize the energy and cost savings in their industrial steam systems. This training workshop will enhance the attendees’ understanding of working principles, knowledge of best practices, and capability of analyzing the energy performance of industrial energy systems.
Participants will be trained on industrial steam system fundamentals and undertaking of a system-specific energy assessment, including hands-on training on the steam system assessment module within the Manufacturing Energy Assessment Software for Utility Reduction (MEASUR) tool. To maximize the benefits from attending this training, a homework assignment will be given to the participants which would be to model their own steam system in MEASUR and participants will be able to use this model during the training and also directly interact with the instructor for specific questions.
The virtual Steam training will be offered as two 3.5 -hour online training sessions on Tuesdays (September 28 and October 5) from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm ET.
